Maria Kay Miller, 5 (born February 26, 2019) and Andrew Charles Miller, 3 (born April 26, 2020), daughter and son of Sarah Miller, went to meet Jesus on March 11, 2024. They are survived by their mother; Sarah Miller of Rushville, IL, grandparents; Mariana (Chris) and John Miller of Rushville, IL, (1) aunt; Christina Miller of Rushville, IL, (2) uncles; Ben (Lauren) Miller of Bluffs, IL, Noah (Erin) Miller of Rushville, IL, great- grandparents; William G. and Donna L. Miller of Rushville, IL, great- grandma; Sharon Kay Shaw of Littleton, IL, and cousins; Bexon, Graceson, Carter, and Wyatt. The kids also have two other siblings not in the Miller family. Many great aunts, great uncles and cousins plus other extended family members also survive. They were preceded in death by their great-uncle, Andrew Clinton Shaw, and their great- grandpa, Charles Duane Shaw. They attended Life Family Church outside of Beardstown, IL and Havana First Assembly of God in Havana, IL with their mother.  Maria and Andrew did everything together. They loved being outside and spending time with family. Maria was a dog momma who loved art, fashion, and mermaids. Andrew loved dinosaurs, cars and trucks, going on “bear hunts”, and playing “bideo games” when he had the chance. Both children loved God and were joyful and hopeful. They enjoyed music, especially singing. Maria and Andrew were young, but they had big personalities. Their smiles and laughter blessed family, friends, and anyone that met them. They were loved by all, especially by their mother. A visitation will be held at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville on Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Funeral services for family and close friends will be private.  Memorials may be given to their family.

Noah Gregory Driscoll, 3, of Rushville, IL went to be with God at 11:46 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2024 in Rushville, IL.  He was born on June 10, 2020 in Macomb, IL the son of Skyler and Lindsey Welty Driscoll. His parents survive along with big brother Jason Driscoll & little brother Henry Driscoll, maternal grandparents “Papa and Gibbie” Brian & Tamara Welty of Rushville, IL, paternal grandma Debbie Driscoll, (2) aunts Breanne Welty & Lily Driscoll, (1) uncle Brady Driscoll, cousins Remi Bunch, Gage Carsen, Willow Carsen, Bryar Bailey, maternal great-grandparents “Pappa & Nanny” Roy & Janet Welty, paternal great-grandparents David & Eva Hewitt.  Many great aunts, great uncles and cousins plus other extended family members also survive. He is preceded in death by paternal grandfather Greg Driscoll, paternal great-grandparents Jack & Lorraine Driscoll, maternal great-grandparents Roy & Gail Surber.  Noah loved being outside, especially driving the dune buggy around, playing with his brothers, jumping on the trampoline, wrestling and playing baseball. He also enjoyed helping his mother garden and plant flowers. He wanted to be a farmer when he grew up; he loved tractors, camo, and watching things grow. Noah would show people how much he loved them by how wide he would spread his arms and said he couldn’t show his parents how much because his arms would break off; and would tell his mom and dad “I love you like the numbers because they never stop.”  A visitation will be held at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services for family will be private. Memorials may be given to his family.

Eva Mae Trone, 98, of Rushville, IL passed away at 10:35 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Beardstown Health & Rehab Center.  She was born on March 15, 1925 at Astoria, IL a daughter of the late Sherman & Beulah Belville Palmer.  She married Herschel R. Trone on March 4, 1969 in Rushville, IL.  He preceded her in death on April 29, 2019.  She is survived by (3) daughters; Roberta Stiles of Rushville, IL, Kathy Huston of Winnfield, IA, Nancy Winkler of Bowen, (2) sons; Eldon Gorsuch of Littleton, IL, Virgil Gorsuch of Rushville, IL, (1) step-daughter; Barbara Smith of Princeton, IL,  (3) step-sons; Larry Trone of Rushville, IL,  Roger Trone of Rushville, IL, Randal Trone of Columbia, IL, (14) grandchildren, (14) step-grandchildren, (43) great grandchildren, 37 great-great grandchildren, (1) brother; Larry Palmer of Beardstown, IL. She was preceded in death by (4) step-children, Rebecca Trone, Douglas Trone, Jane Trone, Donald Trone (1) grandchild, (2) great grandchildren, (2) sisters; Dora Fox & Glenna Perry, (4) brothers; Richard Palmer, Herbert Palmer,  Allen Palmer & Jerry Palmer. Eva attended schools in Astoria.  She was employed by Culbertson Hospital in Rushville, McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, IL, and Boyd Nursing Home in Beardstown, IL before retiring.  She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and canning her produce.  She also loved cooking, baking & jelly making. She worried about everyone else before herself.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Stacy Tomich officiating.  Inurnment will follow in Rushville City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.    Memorials may be given to Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.

Kathy Chase, 66, of Rushville, IL passed away at 8:48 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2024 at Aperion Care Capital in Springfield, IL.  She was born on July 31, 1957 in Astoria, IL a daughter of Phillip & Jeanette Bucher Schisler.  She is survived by her mother of Rushville, IL, (3) sons; Denny Wear & Misty of Springfield, IL, Dane Wear & Emma of Goodfield, IL, Dustin Wear & Terrin Geist of New Berlin, IL, (7) grandchildren; Madison Wear, Mason Wear, Isaiah Wear, Mikalah Wear, Steven Melin, Payton Wear, Jordan Wear, (2) sisters; Joyce Behymer of Pickneyville, IL, Carol Kliffmiller & Blaine of Rushville, IL, numerous nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father.  Kathy graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1975.  In her early motherhood years she was a stay at home mom devoting her time to her boys and gardening.  In later years as a single mother she supported her boys by joining the work force as a line-worker at Excel in Beardstown, IL.  She truly loved her boys and her cats.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2024 at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Anderson officiating.  Interment will follow in Christian Neck Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Friday.  Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society or Schuyler County Humane Society.

Katharine Kay Burnside, 75, of Rushville, IL passed away at 12:48 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Rushville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  Kay was born on December 24, 1948 at home in Woodstock Twp., Schuyler Co. IL.  She was the daughter of the late Fred Eugene & Virginia Roselee Hendricks Crenshaw. She married Robert Burnside on January 5, 1968 in Browning, IL.  He survives along with (2) sons; Philip Joseph Burnside & Tara of Rushville, IL, Paul Aaron Burnside & Elizabeth of Hohenfels, Germany, (2) daughters; Melissa Kay Clements of Rushville, IL, Libby Jeanette Goldsborough & Jeff of Rushville, IL, (9) grandchildren;  (5) great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by (1) infant sister; Linda Sue Crenshaw, (1) brother; Freddie Lee Crenshaw.    She attended Rushville High School and worked at Gains Greenhouse.   She also worked at Heiderscheit Greenhouse in Beardstown.  Kay was a life-long homemaker & farmer. She attended several area churches over the years, Assembly of God, Rushville Free Methodist Church, Beardstown Calvary Baptist Church, Beardstown Nazarene Church and LaGrange Church.  She enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing and going for four wheeler rides.  Kay loved landscaping, taking care of her flowers and the mountains.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Kirkham Pastor Matt Haberman officiating.  Interment will follow in Rushville City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday.  Memorials may be given to RIHS Band Boosters or Cass-Schuyler Hospice.

Teddy Mac Stambaugh, 85, of Rushville, IL passed away at 4:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at his home.  He was born on June 22, 1938 in Browning, IL a son of the late Floyd “Zeke” & Leona Himmel Stambaugh.  He married Sandra Skiles on October 18, 1957 in Browning, IL.  She survives along with (1) daughter; Vicki Trone & Ace, (2) sons; Kelly Stambaugh & Lynn, Kraig Stambaugh & Tracy, (9) grandchildren; Amy Anderson, Travis Anderson, Zeke Stambaugh & Cassidy, Julie Dorman & Wes, Clay Stambaugh, Brody Stambaugh, Kayla Haines & Stoney, Ethan Ward, Kaleb Hogan, (11) great-grandchildren; Emma & Amber LeBegue, Juniper Esther, Lennox, Elowyn, Sonny Mac & Vivian Stambaugh, Carsyn & Caydence Taylor, Callan & Carter Haines, (1) aunt; Mary Lou Stambaugh.  He was preceded in death by (2) uncles; George Stambaugh, John Stambaugh, (2) aunts; Lenore Dixon, Arlene Burgard.  Ted graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1956 and attended one year at Western Illinois University.  He worked for twelve years at Mickelberry’s Packing Plant.  He then worked for thirty two years for the Illinois Department of Transportation before retiring in 2000.  He was a member of the Rushville First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and Moose Lodge #506.  Ted was a true Browning guy that loved hunting & fishing.  He also enjoyed golfing, St. Louis Cardinal Baseball and being with his family.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Rucker officiating.    Interment will follow in Rushville City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.  Memorials may be given to Cass-Schuyler Hospice, CMH Foundation or First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Margaret Virginia Wheelhouse, 84, of Rushville, IL passed away at 5:55 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on January 27, 1940 in Littleton, IL a daughter of the late Russell & Beryl Allison Sowers.  She married Dale Edward Wheelhouse on September 8, 1957 at the Rushville First United Methodist Church.  He survives along with (2) sons; Scott Wheelhouse & Cheryl, Steve Wheelhouse & Brenda, (1) daughter; Sue Zwicke & Troy, (4) grandchildren; Brooke, Brandon, Kelsey, Schuyler, (1) sister-in-law; Joy Sowers, (1) nephew; William, (1) niece, Melody.  She was preceded in death by (1) brother; Floyd Sowers.  She graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1957 and later from Beauty College.  She owned & operated a beauty salon in her home before helping run the family business, Wheelhouse TV.  Margaret was a member of the Rushville Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school classes in her younger years and was active in Church Circle. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, boating, dancing, parties, playing cards.  Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Worthington Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Cremation has been accorded.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice or Rushville Presbyterian Church.
